Empowering underserved communities and breaking the cycle of poverty through the power of learning.
The Yong Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas, and the philanthropic arm of The Yong Group. We believe that knowledge should know no boundaries — that where a person is born, or how much their family earns, should never decide how far they can go.
We make that belief practical: free, high-quality online courses anyone can take; volunteer teachers who share their skills with learners who need them; and yearly scholarships that help students in need continue their education.
Quality online courses that anyone can take, anywhere, at no cost.
We connect volunteer teachers with underserved learners who need them most.
Yearly scholarships help students in need pursue their educational goals.
Learning opens doors to opportunity and breaks the cycle of poverty.
The Yong Foundation was created by The Yong Group, a family of companies guided by three words: Educate, Serve, Give. Its founder, Yves Yongoueth, spent more than twenty years in technology and operations leadership — and saw again and again how a single skill, or a single opportunity, can change the direction of a life.
The Foundation turns that experience into free courses in digital skills and emerging technologies, a growing community of volunteer teachers, and scholarships for students who are ready to learn but lack the means.
The people guiding The Yong Foundation.
